Gary Ouellet on MacDonald Aces - Perhaps the most beautiful approach ever to one of the world's greatest card effects. The routine is very beautiful, and comes with an emotional presentation. It can be performed to music, without patter. The routine follows the classical lines. The magician cuts a deck of cards and produces four Aces. Each Ace is then covered with three indifferent cards. Three of the Aces vanish from their piles and reappear together in one pile. What makes A Dream of Aces different. First, it is easy to perform. It will not require months of practice. Second, the handling is economical, deceptive and pleasing to the eye. Finally, it is exquisite magic. Canadian performer Alain Choquette performs A Dream of Aces in his stage show, getting one standing ovation after another.
