The effect is very straightforward. A card is selected from a jumbo deck. The deck is held by one spectator while a second spectator, who has been blindfolded, shoots a gun at the deck. The deck is then removed from the box and spread. One card has a large bullet hole right through it! When the card is turned over, it is the selected card!! That's the basic magic. But there's a lot more. The routine is just filled with sight gags and jokes and bits of business. The audience is laughing throughout -- right up to the socko finish. To say the least, the routine is totally commercial. It is guaranteed to bring lots of laughs, and the finish always knocks 'em out. Sharpshooter has been produced in the form of a printed booklet.
